Reverend - Double Agent W 20th Anniversary Limited Edition, Natural Flame Maple

Legend has it, that it all started in 1997, with Joe Naylor, alone in a shop behind a bicycle shop in East Detroit. Now, we’ve grown to a bone fide headquarters in sunny Toledo, Ohio with several employees. For the 20th Anniversary, we are releasing special 20th Anniversary versions of the Double Agent W – with a Railhammer Hyper Vintage at the bridge, a brushed aluminum pickguard, and “1997-2017” on the fretboard. These guitars are aesthetically stunning combined with the work horse playability you've come to expect from all Reverend guitars. If you're looking for a unique piece, these Reverend 20th Anniversary guitars are a perfect choice for the stage or collectors alike. Limited quantities available, get yours today!

REVEREND DOUBLE AGENT W 20TH ANNIVERSARY CUSTOM PICKUPS

Reverend designs their own proprietary custom pickups to achieve the best tonal match with the instrument. Reverend pickups are also specifically designed for each position, for balanced volume and tone when switching between pickups.

RAILHAMMER HYPER VINTAGE BRIDGE

We took the vintage PAF recipe and dragged it kicking and screaming into the new millennium. Warm, open, lightly compressed, with chimey highs. Has a softer mid attack, and overall more open tone than the Chisel. Perfect for blues, classic rock, old school metal and punk, that "early EVH" sound, or for any player looking for a vintage vibe but wants the Railhammer advantage. And like all Railhammers, the extra clarity on the wound strings means they also work great with low tuned guitars.

CP90 NECK

Slightly cleaner than a vintage P90. Clear, open tone with slightly less hum than most other P90’s. 42 gauge wire, ceramic magnets, 6.5K ohms.

BASS CONTOUR

This passive bass roll-off is great for tightening up the low end, or re-voicing the pickups. It can make a humbucker sound like a single-coil, or give a P-90 that classic twang. Variable pickup voicing at your fingertips!

REVEREND DOUBLE AGENT W 20TH ANNIVERSARY PIN-LOCK TUNERS

A thumbwheel under the tuner pushes a steel pin up through the post, locking the string in place for exceptional tuning stability and super-fast string changes. Also, the posts are custom height, eliminating the need for a second string tree.

BONEITE NUT

We use "Boneite," a synthetic bone nut, that is more consistent than natural bone, on all Reverend instruments. It reduces friction, allowing the strings to slide through the nut slots smoothly, improving tuning stability.

KORINA BODY

Korina (aka White Limba) is a medium-light weight wood, highly prized for consistency and tonal qualities. Often found in boutique and vintage instruments, all Reverends feature Korina bodies. A highly resonant wood, Korina is a key factor to producing our lively, responsive instruments that are rich in harmonics.

WILKINSON WVS50 IIK TREMOLO

Features include saddles that lock to the baseplate, adjustable arm swing tension, and a push-in/no freeplay arm. Combined with our Boneite nut and pin-lock tuners, it stays in tune even under aggressive whammy action.

In 1997, working out of a small East Detroit garage rented from a local bicycle shop, Joe Naylor founded Reverend Guitars. Drawing heavily on an industrial design background, professional luthiery training and years as a guitar repairman, his guitars and basses quickly had people talking. A few years later Ken Haas joined the company as a booth demonstrator and followed his passion for Reverend to become CEO. Today, Joe remains Head of Design and Zack Green (Chief Set-Up Guru since 1999), still signs the headstock back of every guitar that comes through the shop. Over the years, Reverend has established a refreshing yet practical design approach, melding player-friendly features with timeless styling, outstanding tone and superb build quality to attract musicians of all levels and genres.
